National Table Tennis Scholarship Program

NCTTA’s National Table Tennis Scholarship Program has been developed to give deserving table tennis athletes the opportunity for financial support while pursuing a college education. With the generous support from NEWGY Industries, NCTTA is able to award a limited number of scholarships to male and female students, based on the criteria described on this site. Recipients are expected to practice with and compete for their school’s table tennis team in NCTTA competition.

Scholarship Opportunities

A limited number of $1000 scholarships will be awarded for select educational expenses, including:

• Tuition

• Books

• Room and Board

The size and scope of the scholarship program (including both number and amount of scholarships awarded) is expected to expand in future years. Consider making a contribution to help expand the program.

Eligibility

Only applicants meeting the following minimum requirements will be considered:

• U.S. Citizen.

• Incoming college freshman student.

• Never awarded the NCTTA scholarship before.

• Enrolled (or enrolling) at a U.S. accredited college or university as a full-time undergraduate student pursuing his or her first degree. 

• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.

• Have demonstrated an interest in and commitment to the sport of table tennis.

• Attending an active NCTTA member school that competed in NCTTA competition during the prior year (e.g. if applying for a scholarship for the 2015-2016 academic year, the school must have competed during the 2014-2015 season).

• Has completed the scholarship application form and submitted any supporting documents requested.

NCTTA board members or employees are not eligible to apply for scholarships through this program.
